Face Value of a Quarter

Revelation 1:8  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

I'm constantly seeking a revelation or deeper meaning from God through his Word. This morning, God assured me his words are enough. We can accept his truth and promises at face value. Face value is defined as the apparent value or signifigance. I began to meditate on the thought...

A quarter's face value is 25 cents. Time, circumstance and other variables can increase a coin's face value. Some coins became extremely value while other's never increase from their face value. The Bible's face value is unkown. Stay with me here. Before we become a redeemed child of God, we've heard about the value of Jesus, but do not yet personally know or realize the Bible's value, right? Once we begin our walk with God; time, circumstances and other variables increases the value of God's word in our lives as we apply his wisdom to our daily challenges. We learn quickly that the value of God's word is priceless. We can take it at face value or we can dig deeper to uncover more richness. 

God is Alpha and Omega, THE beginning and the end. He is our beginning and our end. The part in the middle of our lives is up to us. Time, circumstance and variables can move us towards God's goodness or away. The increase in the value of God's truth in our lives depends on how much we seek his face.
